Dancing In The Moonlight

I have wanted to begin doing more hand work in my fiber art.

After seeing Susan Sorrell's detailed work,

I started this piece.

I don't know if you can see the beading very well

but I have added quite a few beads already.

I have been doing free form embroidery as well.

And lovin' it!

What a delightrul, whimsical piece of art! I salute you for having the patience to do all that beading. Looks beautiful.

Thank you Rayna! I have found that I love the mindless work of pulling the thread...placing the beads...pulling the thread. It looks great in the sketch book as well!

You've done a wonderful job of INCORPORATING the beading into the design. In my humble opinion....(and given that I'll bead anything that stands still), it's a key element for successful bead embellishing, rather than just plopping them down just for the sake of adding beads. Keep up the good wor!

Wow, thanks everyone for the encouraging comments! I am really enjoying the "intimacy" of this piece, working it with my hands. Thank you for taking the time to come to the blog.

WOW, Carol!! This is fabulous!! I think to make it larger you might need to have a hight resolution picture and the "large: setting clicked when you browse for the picture to insert. Does that make sense? Maybe that is it because mine just automatically does an enlarge. Must just be a setting.
